Accountancy services in Manchester

Bookkeeping, accounts, payroll, VAT and tax for local businesses. Explained in plain English, with a fixed fee agreed before we start.

Everything your business needs from an accountant

We're a small, independent firm of fully qualified accountants. For 20 years we've helped businesses keep their finances in order and their tax bills as low as the rules allow.

We work with sole traders, partnerships and limited companies. Some clients come to us for a single job, like a yearly tax return. Others hand us the whole lot, from day to day bookkeeping to payroll and year end accounts, and bundle it into a monthly package.

Whichever you choose, you'll know the fee up front and you'll get straight answers without the jargon. We know HMRC's rules well, and we use that to look for savings in every part of your finances.

Monthly packages and fixed fees

Many businesses find it easiest to combine services into one monthly package. You get regular help through the year and the cost is spread evenly.

Prefer to pay for a single piece of work? That's fine too. Either way, we agree a fixed fee before we begin, so there are no surprise bills. Not sure what you need? Start with a free first chat and we'll suggest the right mix.

Questions about our services

Can I use just one of your services?

Yes. Plenty of clients come to us for one thing, such as a self assessment tax return or VAT returns. You can add more later if your business grows.

What is a monthly package?

It's a set of services, such as bookkeeping, payroll and year end accounts, combined for a regular monthly fee. It spreads the cost across the year and means we can help you all year round, not just at deadline time.

How do your fees work?

We agree a fixed fee before we start any work, so you know exactly what you'll pay. The fee depends on the services you need and the size of your business, which we'll talk through on a free first chat.

What's the difference between payroll and PAYE services?

Payroll is the regular job of working out each employee's pay, deductions and payslips. PAYE covers your responsibilities as an employer with HMRC, such as registering and sending the right reports on time. Most employers need both, and we can handle them together.

I'm changing from another accountant. Is that difficult?

It's usually straightforward. With your permission, we contact your old accountant for the records we need and take it from there, so you don't have to chase anything.

Do you work with limited liability partnerships?

Yes. We prepare accounts for LLPs as well as limited companies, sole traders and ordinary partnerships.
